Welcoming Remarks

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural Annual Media Summit & Awards from 1st to 3rd August, 2018 - a meeting of media practitioners and stakeholders designed to deliberate on pertinent issues affecting the sector.
This year’s theme: Media & the Big Four Agenda, seeks to anchor the role of the media in not only promoting robust public debate on the Agenda, but also encouraging the sharing of ideas and holding its implementers to account.
We have specially designed the three-day Summit experience to enable you learn, share, debate and discuss media issues while recognizing and rewarding those amongst who have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and achievement in media. The Workshops, Summit Sessions, Media Debate and Awards & Gala Dinner will make for an engaging experience with plenty of opportunities for networking as well.
Given the high demand, please register as soon as possible, as allocation will be strictly on first-come-first-served basis through this online portal. Registration closes at midnight on 28th of July, 2018.
Alongside the Council, Commission, Management and Staff of the Media Council of Kenya, I look forward to welcoming you and interacting with you at the Annual Media Summit & Awards.
Karibuni sana!
